Today, we are exceptionally pleased to announce to you that we have signed Anoraak to Bandroom Records in Australia. Part of the Valerie Collective, a group of western France dance musicians who have created their own complimentary scene, sharing and creating music together. Delivering their work to the public through the Valerie music blog. Reminiscent of artists like Metronomy, Jean Michel Jarre and M83, Anoraak makes music equally grounded in intelligent 80’s synth pop and modern dance music.
Their E.P, Nightdrive With You, is being released in Australia on the February 7th 2009

Walter Meego may have announced their full Australian tour 2 weeks ago, approximately 0.67 blog years ago in Hipster Runoff terms, but here at Bandroom we’ve just been too busy too even write about it on our own site! Fortunately we’ve taken this belated update as a sign and have decided to start pumping much more content into this site. So, the dates are not only below but also in our new “tour / dates” section, the first of many updates to come.
